100年来，中国体育历经“体育救国”“体育兴国”“体育报国”，直至当前“体育强国”4个发展阶段，走出了一条特色体育发展之路。南京体育学院以近现代百年体育文脉的传承与发展，特色办学之路的变迁，“育人才、夺金牌、出成果”的显著成绩，在地理空间上见证了中国体育的百年发展历程，折射了时代变迁轨迹，顺应了我国各阶段经济社会发展的需求。依循发展经验，新时代历史方位下的高等体育院校，必须继续坚持中国共产党的坚强领导，坚持中国特色社会主义体育发展道路，坚持体育发展的自身规律，服务国家发展大局，发挥自身所长和独特作用，赋能“体育强国”建设，助力中华民族实现伟大复兴。

For a hundred years，Chinese sports has embarked on a path of characteristic sports development from “sports saving the nation”，“sports rejuvenating the nation”，“sports serving the nation”， to the current new stage of “sports powering the nation”. With inheritance and development of modern sports culture in the past century， changes in the road of running a school with characteristics， and distinguished achievements of “fostering talents， winning gold medals， and producing results”， Nanjing Sport Institute has witnessed hundred years of development of Chinese sports in its geographic space， which reflflects the trajectory of era and needs of economic and social development at various stages of the nation. Based on the development experience， sports colleges and universities in the new era must keep uphold the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China， keep to the development path of socialist sports with Chinese characteristics， adhere to the law of sports development， target the needs of the nation， give full play to their own strengths and unique roles， promote the construction of “a leading sporting nation”， and help the Chinese nation achieve great rejuvenation.
