以国内外极具代表性与影响力的报纸《中国日报》与《纽约时报》为对象媒体,以两报纸中的中国武术报道内容为研究文本,利用扎根理论研究方法进行对比分析,并归纳出中国武术历史文化、中国武术整体认知以及中国武术现代发展这三个范畴。研究发现,两报纸在中国武术报道中的相同点在于:《纽约时报》与《中国日报》都对中国武术文化、中国武术认知、中国武术现代发展进行了报道,且呈现的都是正面基调,凸显的是中国武术的客观的、正面的形象。不同点在于:《中国日报》对于中国武术报道更为全面,而《纽约时报》则仅关注较受欢迎的拳种及其文化和太极拳科学研究。中美报纸对中国武术形象表征的共同点是由于中国武术与海外受众之间存在“意义共享空间”,而不同点是由于受自身文化心理影响而导致的结果呈现。

In new media age, mass media becomes an important way to expand public cognition. China Daily and The New York Times, the representative and influential newspaper, were selected as target media. The wushu report of two newspaper were selected as research sample, and ground theory research method was used to analyze. And summarized three categories after analyzed: wushu historic culture, the overall cognitive of wushu, and wushu contemporary development. We found that the similarities of two newspapers are: both China Daily and The New York Times reported the wushu historic culture, the overall cognitive of wushu, and wushu contemporary development, and presented the positive tone, highlighted the objective and positive image of Chinese wushu. The differences are China Daily reports wushu completely and comprehensively, while The New York Times only focuses on the popular boxing and its culture, and wushu research. The similarity is due to “sharing meaning”, the differences image presentation of wushu is because of own cultural psychology.
