在前期人类学化研究的探索之后，武术人类学研究现已成为民族传统体育学的重要研究进路。新时期的武术人类学研究，既要在思考武术人类学定义、揣摩田野调查方法、推敲民族志文本基础上“思接千载，视通万里”地扩展研究思路，也需聚焦武术“‘国之大事’的文化缘起、中国文化的土壤与背景、为人性的文化目的”核心议题，体现人类学研究对于文化自觉的研究价值，推进武术人类学研究的规范化、体系化与本土化建设进程。

Wushu anthropological research，after being explored tentatively to study Wushu with anthropological theories and methods in the early years，has become an important research approach of traditional ethnic sports. In the new era，Wushu anthropology researchers should expand their research ideas insightfully on the basis of pondering the concept of Wushu anthropology，the methods of fifieldwork and the texts of ethnography. It is also a necessity to focus on the core issues of Wushu such as the cultural origin of ‘a matter of the nation’，the environment and background of Chinese culture，and the grand cultural mission for humanity，so as to reflflect the research value of wushu anthropology to cultural self-consciousness，and consequently to promote the construction of standardization，systematization and localization of Wushu anthropological research.
